The spring sports season brought a brand new hope for Highlands High School. Three of the four have advanced to the WPIAL team playoffs, and two of them are section winners. In addition, track will be sending a lot of WPIAL Qualifiers to the post season to compete. Softball and tennis are section winners, and baseball advanced as an at large second place team.

The Lady Rams Softball won their second straight section title on Tuesday, sharing the crown with Valley team will know whom they are playing on May 14th when the WPIAL Selection Committee will meet, baseball will know on the 13th. Tennis already has begun its playoff storm with a victory and another match yet to come this week. It looks to be a long bumpy road for baseball and softball, but the girls should have the upper hand, and this year is their year to win! The baseball team will take themselves as far as they want to take themselves, and a WPIAL title is well within their grasps. So keep an eye on it, this has been a great year for Highlands High School athletics, lets finish up strong!!
